SEASON 3 EPISODE 7
Dr. R. Scott Clark is Professor of Church History and Historical Theology at Westminster Seminary California in Escondido, CA. He’s an ordained minister in the URC (United Reformed Churches), has been a pastor in various capacities since 1987, and has been teaching in the college or seminary context since 1995. His interests lie in Church History, Historical Theology, and Post-Reformation Studies, leading his students at larger audience to a Reformed “Theology, Piety, and Practice.” He runs the popular Heidelcast and the seminary podcast Office Hours, blogs at Heidelbog, regularly writes at RScottClark.org, and has many books and articles available for reading throughout these online avenues and in print.
Join Nick & Peter as they discuss the sixth chapter of Covenant Theology (written by Dr. J. Nicholas Reid), published by Crossway and edited by the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary!
What is the Mosaic Covenant? How does it differ from the Abrahamic? Is this a works-based covenant, a grace-based covenant or a slight nuance? What does “one substance, multiple administrations” mean? Is all of the Mosaic Law still in effect today? How do we understand the Mosaic Law in the Old Testament, New Testament, and today? What does the land have to do with the 10 Commandments?
